A Message from Dc Yvonne Tan
My name is Yvonne. I am a Doctor of Chiropractic. A merit scholar, an award recipient of The Professor Emerita Datuk Dr Asmar Ismail Gamechanger award, Tun Zahir award and representative of the graduating class of convocating class of 2025.
At 16, I was lost.
I wanted to serve in the healthcare industry… dentistry, nutritional work, being an allopathic doctor didn’t appeal to me. It was just bandaid work, not really resolving any health care situations. I witnessed my mum getting hurt by conventional healthcare, I experienced her pain and helplessness. I was present too when a Doctor of Chiropractic showed up to handle her situation. The Chiropractor consulted, examined and treated my mom with care and attentiveness. She was able to walk after just one visit. From then, I was inspired to become a chiropractor, the best chiropractor to serve my community and my family.
Giving back motivates me. I visited the Philippines multiple times to provide chiropractic services to the underprivileged community and it brings me joy when I get to see them improve. I cry knowing I made a difference to their lives.
I choose to serve with care. My intention is to improve every life I touch and to leave the person better off. I take care of my patients the same way as how I do with my family, because my patients are family too.
I chose the path of integrity, to be holistic in supporting the people around me to move, feel and live better. You have the right to live life to the fullest and do the things you love. You get to love the people around you without PAINS stopping you!
